Established in 2016 by Florian Speight, Earth Wood Trees Ltd is a company based in Totnes, Devon, specialising in tree care services. We work to a high standard of arboricultural practice. Our work results in great customer satisfaction and environmental benefits such as woodland management, prolonging the life of specimen trees . From the initial site meeting, during tree works through to completion, We provide friendly and clear communication, including advise and guidance in decision making wherever needed.

At Earth Wood Trees, we understand how setting out on proposed works for one tree or an entire woodland, involve short and long term impacts for land owners, the public, and the surrounding environment, so we care for both our client's requirements as well as the long term benefits of the respective site location.

Tree management can involve several stages of preparation as a prerequisite to carrying out works, all of which we will be happy to assist with.

Firstly a site visit to meet our client, discuss the proposed works and offer advise where needed, will be arranged.

​

Secondly, clarifying the details of how the job is to be carried out, including a written quote outlining the job specifications.

​

Upon acceptance of the quotation, a date will be arranged to start the job. We will check if the works require any applications to local authorities for ex. if trees are within a conservation area or protected by a TPO (tree preservation order). We will process what is needed on our client's behalf prior to carrying out any tree operations. Large tree works, such as woodland management, can require a felling license from the forestry commission. It is the responsibility of both the land owner and contractor, to meet the legal requirements for tree management. We are happy to assist wherever necessary, in such cases.
